The National Zoo and Aquarium

The first place that you should visit is the National Zoo and Aquarium. The National Zoo is located 13 kilometers north-east of Kuala Lumpur is the National Zoo, which has many different species of mammals, birds, and reptiles.
The aquarium too is impressive with its enormous collection of marine life and other and freshwater species. Both sites are open to the public between 9am and 6pm all week.

Kuala Lumpur Railway Station

This is another place you must visit, which is located at Jalan Hishamuddin. It has a remarkable Moorish-style terminal that architect A.B. Hubbock designed. It has the modern facilities that travelers find a convenience. This includes:

• air-conditioned waiting halls,
• snack kiosks,
• money changing booths,
• souvenir shops,
• restaurants and
• a tourist information counter.

At walking distance from the terminal is the Malayan Railway Administration Building. It also has been designed in the same manner leaving its impressive traces of British colonial rule. The administration Building is linked to the train station by an underground passage.

Central Market

The central market in Kuala Lumpur is also another place to check out for its beauty. It used to be a wet market more than 50 years ago, and today it is an emblem of Malaysian culture. The market is not simply a place where things are bought and sold, but is in fact a major location where demonstrations and activities take place, such as batik painting, fortune telling, shadow puppet plays, glass blowing, dance classes, and art classes. This is so well known for its activities and designs that it was awarded the Coronation Architecture Design Award in 1953.

National Library:

This library is located at Jalan Tun Razak. It has a magnificent is blue in color and was made with the concept of a tengkolok (Malay headgear). The library is a recent structure in Kuala Lumpur; it opened in 1982. It has a collection about Malaysia by Malaysian authors in addition to historic Malay manuscripts. If you want to visit this place, you may do so between 1Oam and 5pm everyday except Monday.

Petaling Street:

This street is the center of Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown, and it still maintains the traditional atmosphere it had in its genuine form. One well-known tradition in the older days was for vendors to spread out their items on the street at night. Though one may purchase any kind of stuff available, it must be said that the night market holds a treasure of the visitor that does not cost anything. This means that just experiencing the sites and sounds is more than a treat this place has to offer.

Merdeka Square:

The Malaysian flag was first hoisted at this place in 1957. Giving the place its due respect, it has the tallest flagpole in the country with the Malaysian flag hoisted on it.

Masjid Jamek:

One of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest Mosques is Masjid Jamek. It is situated at a point where two rivers (Kelang and Gombak) converge. It is often said to be the birth place of Kuala Lumpur.

Taman Tasik Perdana

This is Kula Lumpur’s most well-known park. It has a variety of recreational facilities. In addition to this there are also the Bird Park, the Hibiscus Park, the Orchid Garden, the Butterfly Park, the Deer Park and Memorial Tun Razak.

KL Tower:

Another must-see is the third highest telecommunications tower in the world; the KL Tower, which was completed in 1995. It has a bird’s eye view of Kuala Lumpur and other areas.

The Attractions in Bangkok:

Generally, the climate is warm and humid from March to June, with a considerable amount of rain coming in July and the ensuing months. It is known that tourists come a long way just to enjoy the climatic conditions in Bangkok between March and June.

Climatic Conditions Favor Traveling:

Samutprakan Crocodile Farm & Zoo:

This is situated in Amphoe Muang, Samut Prakan, which is at a distance of 25 km from Bangkok. It is believed to be the world’s biggest crocodile farm with more than 60,000 crocodiles. Visitors are allowed to view the crocodiles in their wrestling shows. The elephants too are presented in shows that the visitors can view. These shows are all held many times during the cour5se of a day, and they are not the only ones. This is because other animals such as tigers, chimpanzees, lions, leopards, pythons, camels, etc. are also included in other events during the day.

The timings of this zoo are 08.00 - 18.00 everyday of the week, as holidays seem to boost the income because people are free from work and commitments on these days.By road, visitors can reach this place via the Bangkok Highway; the distance that one would have to travel this way is around 28 KM when approaching Highway No. 3 about 30 minute-drive. If one chooses the bur route, s/he is advised to take the No. 8 or 11 bus to Samut Prakan and then catch a local minibus.

Museums: The museums too provide a great deal for one to see because of the fact that they are all about history. Therefore, people who visit Bangkok are presented with an opportunity of learning about the history of the region and the city itself. c.VolcanoLand: VolcanoLand, where you will discover the secrets of the ancient Mayan Civilization and the legendary Mount Prospero, re-creates a journey into the centre of the earth, and traces the origins of the world and the evolution of life. d.The Merlion: The Merlion is a legendary creature that has the head of a lion and a body of a fish. Its construction was completed and it was officially opened to the public in 1996, making it one of Sentosa’s newest attractions. The 37-m high Merlion Tower offers a fantastic and panoramic view of Sentosa and beyond.
e.Sentosa Orchid Gardens: The Sentosa Orchid Gardens offers a variety of orchids to your viewing pleasure. There’s a clock made of flowers, a carp pond and a Japanese teahouse, too.
f.Nature Walk/ Dragon Trails: Meandering through the lush secondary rainforest, the 1.5km walk is adorned by monkeys, squirrels, over 20 species of birds and unique insects such as cicadas and crickets. Look out for “dragons” and “snakes” while you stroll, as they appear almost everywhere!
g.Fort Siloso: The Japanese were marching down to Southeast Asia on their quest to conquer the whole of Asia. The British had no choice but to defend Singapore, one of the most important colonies found in Asia; they built Fort Siloso. And it still stands, preserved from the ravages of time, on the island of Sentosa, a reminder of the presence of the vigilant British soldiers on the fair island. Several tunnels and underground passages led into the some of the Fort’s storerooms, where vital supplies and equipment were kept for use. After restoration in the 1980’s, the cannons were returned to their places of 40 years ago. Travel back in time and witness the military officers in their living quarters. This is just what Fort Siloso does; it literally, brings you into the past, the turbulent years of World War.
h.Central Beach: One of the three beaches in Sentosa, the Central Beach will give you a great time under the sun! Swim or rent surf boards and canoes…anything you can name. Look out for the “Monkey Shows”, an outlet for the talented monkeys to display their tricks!
i.Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom Museum: A walk-in aviary with over 2 500 free-flying butterflies and 4 000 insects. See human-faced insects, deadly scorpions and learn more about the insect kingdom.

2.Palau Ubin:
A bumboat journey from the main island takes you to Pulau Ubin, an island full of fun, where the lifestyle hasn’t change much in the last 30 years. Visitors still can see kelongs, duck and prawn farms. You can go mountain biking or camp at Pulau Ubin. Pulau Ubin has a natural haven of flora and fauna in its mangrove and forest areas.
